Our very first charity walk which was 30km (18 miles) along some of South Wales’ most scenic cycle paths was a huge success.
Well what a fantastic day we had on our very 1st charity walk. We had just under 40 walkers who were determined to do the 18 miles and boy did they deliver. I know there are some sore feet but they’re all pleased as punch and as trustees we’re very proud of them all. It was a lot tougher than they thought it was going to be but they all said that they would definitely do it again next year. The feedback from some was that how beautiful they thought the route was and how “you don’t appreciate what we’ve got on our door step”. How very true. We take our surrounds for granted.
I’ll post on here how much we’ve made once we get everyone’s sponsor money in and I’ll post more pics but for now here’s the one of everyone in their medals. Thank you to all the volunteers you guys were the best marshall’s we could have wished for. I would also like to thank The Hi-Tide and the Spar in Porthcawl for keeping our walkers fed and watered, your kindness and generosity was just awesome.
BREAKING NEWS 19.10.17 – Total amount raised during this event is £5645. Thank you to everyone who took part and for making it the success that it was. See you all in 2018.
